HWS

The Hws is a rising Syrian rapper from Ar Raqqah and an emerging voice in Arabic hip-hop. Blending atmospheric trap production with distinctive melodic flows, he creates immersive urban soundscapes that combine a gritty underground spirit with polished contemporary production.
Known for tracks such as SIMBA and Tamnini, The Hws has developed a regional sound often described as “Raqqa Style.” He appeared in the Syrian Cypher, curated by Big Hass, alongside Assasi, Moudy Al Arabe, and Chyno with a Why?, and collaborated with Moudy Al Arabe on Syria Street.
His track Abn El Fourat (Abn El Fourat), meaning “Son of the Euphrates,” honors his roots and Ar Raqqah’s connection to the river. Meanwhile, Raqqa Style highlights the Syrian drill-and-trap sound that defines his identity. Through his music, The Hws carries the voice and character of Ar Raqqah into the wider Arab hip-hop movement.
