JUBRAN

Jubran is a Syrian artist from Latakia. Raised amid poverty and uncertainty in the neighborhoods of Bsanada and Al-Da’tour, and in 2007 he found in art a way to confront the absurdities of daily life and express the realities he has experienced.

Despite limited resources and difficult circumstances, Jubran has continued to write and compose, transforming hardship into honest lyrics and music that carries an authentic voice from the margins.

He is now preparing for a major artistic return with a new musical style that blends Ataba, a traditional vocal form closely associated with Syria’s coastal region, with Arabic rap. Named “Atraba,” this emerging sound brings together folk roots with the contemporary energy and identity of hip-hop.
