SYAD JAD

Syad Jad is a Syrian rapper, music producer, and DJ from Damascus, and one of the early figures who helped shape Syria’s underground hip-hop scene. He began his career in 2003 and founded Arab MCs in 2004, one of the influential early rap collectives in Damascus.
In 2009, he founded ShamMCs, a group responsible for one of Syria’s earliest rap albums. The project opened new space for collaboration between Arabic rap, rock, alternative, and electronic music. Throughout his career, Syad Jad has collaborated with artists and projects across Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, and New York, including De La Soul, Assasi Band, Liberation Family, Ostaz Sam, and Syndroum.
After moving to Türkiye, he continued developing his work as a producer and DJ before shifting his focus toward independent music production. Syad Jad is now preparing for a new artistic return in 2027, bringing with him more than two decades of experience dedicated to the growth and evolution of Arab hip-hop culture.
